One Magical Day
One faithful day
Which never fails
I will be a cadaver
Devoid of feelings
Lying on a dissection bench.
That time I know not
I will be free from memories
That hijack me.
I will bid farewell
To the raging traumas
That torment me.
One unknown day
I will witness my sun sinking
Slowly like the Titanic
Into the western edge of my sky.
That will mark the period
At the end of this long sentence
Punctuated with blackmail and manipulation
And being described
As a failed project.
There is one magical day
When my sun will cease to rise.
That fateful day
I will come out of this dungeon-
A blend of self-therapies.
I will be free from being a lab.
There’s a day I know not
When I’ll switch off.
I will say goodbye
With a long awaited smile
To false and real alarms
And to floating and sinking.
But I will miss the loving streets
That were my abode.
I will miss being a poet
And won’t write anymore.
I’ll I have written
Will have to suffice.
I know quite well
That one magical day
I will cast away my cufflinks.
