A Rose in the Freezing Fire
(Image generated using Canva AI)
It’s been a while
Since I saw her pen
Spill ink on our canvas.
All I can do
Is go over and over
Her flagrant soul spills.
The god nested
Within the confines of my soul
Whispered to him
That the cold fires
Of Masr
Are paralyzing
This flagrant rose
Flourishing
In the bride of the Nile.
She confirmed today
To my soul shaken
By unspoken flaring questions
Of her whereabouts
That the voice
Whispering in me
Was no hallucination.
O freezing fires
That color the bride of the Nile
You have been cataclysmic
Wanting to wither
Blossoms from this rose
That exudes flagrant soul spills.
You seem to have frozen
The ink that spills
From this soul
Gone frosty.
These days,
The fragrance
Of her spiritual canvas
And of her recent souvenir
That coined my name
Which inhabits
The nucleus of me
Have kept me going.
Oh freezing fires
That engulf
The abode of the rose!
You may maim her
Just for a moment
From nourishing my spiritual guide
But soon you must know
That this dialogue
Flagrant
Like her soul spills
Flows into eternity.
Like the baobabs
Of Madagascar
She stands firm–
Her shakiness says
That these gales
Must be raging ones.
Maiming her spilling soul
That nourishes
My spiritual guide
Whispers to my soul
Of the freezing Egyptian fires.

Divine love, so profound, can transform us and the world in ways we've never imagined. It doesn't come without upheavals, though. At the same time, the exquisite wild fire may hit home but we fail to recognize it or encounter it but our conventional thinking makes us not trust it for what it is. This book will take you through a collection of poetry and prose that will awaken you to divine love.
