Today with My Stray Pie
We had a meetup
Somewhere up there
Among clusters of celestials.
You told me
Where you headed
And then I mused
Some narrative
Which was an inscription
In chalk, on my mind,
On which someone
Accidentally brushed off.
On the yester
Within the ink
That my soul spilled
I beseeched you
For yet another sky encounter.
How crystal-clear
Your soul hears
My silent pleas!
Your soul said
That this plea
Would be answered
Among the constellations
In the night
But under the sun.
In some fortnights
Rare like the eclipses
You popped up
On my sky
This day next to the sun
With an embrace so lovely
Leaning on my waist.
A cub in bliss,
Like your lion was,
I still could see
Embedded beneath layers
Of your chaotic soul
Eaten up
By the last cataclysm.
You came today
In broad daylight.
I whispered to you
This day,
To take care of yourself–
Perhaps,
This was the narrative
That sank into oblivion
Last night
Among the celestials.
I long, yet again,
To see you, my cub.
